Getting an Assessment
Call or come to Rockford Center’s Assessment Referral Center (ARC) as soon as a mental health crisis occurs. Our admissions department is open 24/7, 365 days a year. By contacting ARC, you have immediate access to confidential help and support provided by our staff of behavioral healthcare professionals. All ARC counselors are masters-level clinicians or psychiatric nurses. Our primary goal is to assess individual needs and make appropriate clinical recommendations.
Our assessments include:
- Evaluation of the presenting problem
- Mental health and substance abuse history
- Current mental status examination
- Safety assessment
- Level of care determination
- Financial considerations
- Plan of action, including referrals, for ongoing support

Health Insurance
Rockford Center has contracts with most major health insurance companies and managed care organizations, including TRICARE®, Medicare, and in and out of state Medicaid. If you are uncertain whether your insurance will cover the cost of treatment, contact us to discuss options and next steps for care.
